Community Outreach, Screening and Referral

Oak Rural Health offers outreach services to rural populations who might not otherwise have access to those services. A key component of our outreach is that our groups providing it are not stationary, but mobile; though not without limitations of bad access roads, yet we meet those in need of outreach services at the locations where such services are mostly needed. We offer all the three types of outreach: domiciliary (at individual homes), detached (in public environments targeting individuals), peripatetic ( at public or private environments but targets groups instead of individuals). Our screening services focus on blood pressure monitoring, malaria screening, blood glucose test, HCT, Obesity among others. We also offer mobile family planning and midwifery services where necessary.

Oak Rural Health also support the disadvantaged populations with essential drugs and consumables. We make professional services available to these group of people who ordinarily couldn't have availed themselves of such because of financial constraints if not for the gestures. We believe in the power of mobile clinics and outreaches as it enhances early discovery and treatment of diseases, thus preventing an undeserved mortality.
